Shed roof dormers with seats or book shelves add a touch of "real country" to this Log plan, L-2540. But, you can substitute the usual gable dormers or dog houses. The open foyer is raised one riser and is flanked with a rail and supporting columns. This treatment allows the Parlor with its massive fireplace to be an eye opening first impression. Two bedrooms and two baths are to the right of the curving stairway. Open to the kitchen with a half wall and Dutch door is the utility room with space for sewing or ironing and folding clothes. See the real picture of the this feature in the Country Features. The Country Kitchen is long and the ovens are built into the brick fireplace. Each of the two bedrooms upstairs has its own study. A full bath serves the hall while Bedroom-4 has an alcove half bath. The wide single garage can be expanded for two cars.
Chinked, pine 6x12 dovetail Logs are used to construct this grand Log Home. Other types of Logs can be substituted by your Log supplier.
The Frame plan, F-2540-A, with its wrap-porch offers an alternate master bath layout with separate shower and garden tub. The front Bedroom can become your Office. Behind the double Garage is a full size Utility Room with commode under the stairs. Upstairs, the alternate layout also adds an extra full bath, making a private bath for Bedroom-2. Over the double Garage another Bedroom or Office is created with space for half bath. The alternate frame plan, F-2540-A, is included when you purchase the Log version, L-2540.
